U.S. stocks finished mixed on Oct. 9 as Riot Platforms fell 8.51% alongside declines in several technology and semiconductor stocks.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.20%. The Nasdaq fell 1.31%, while the S&P 500 declined 0.36%.

Riot Platforms, a publicly traded bitcoin-mining company, posted the largest decline among the named stocks. Intel fell 5.38%, SanDisk declined 4.95% and Micron lost 4.75%.
