> The policy directs all eligible product receipts to monthly PYTH purchases, with the amount tied to future DAO revenue.

Pyth Network’s PYTH token rose 14.20% to $0.08605 at 5:33 a.m. ET (9:33 a.m. UTC) Friday after the project’s decentralized autonomous organization approved a standing policy for revenue-funded token purchases.

OP-PIP-136 directs 100% of eligible funds received from Pyth products into monthly PYTH purchases for the project’s reserve. The covered products include Pyth Pro subscriptions, Listing as a Service, the Data Marketplace and Pyth Indices.

The policy replaces a system that used one-third of the DAO’s non-PYTH treasury balance and required a separate vote each month. Stablecoin receipts will fund open-market purchases, while PYTH receipts will go directly to the reserve.

The program does not set a fixed monthly purchase amount. Buying capacity will depend on future eligible receipts, with each transaction capped at $25,000 and subject to a 5% maximum slippage limit. The first purchases under the authorization were completed Sept. 30.

Annual recurring revenue reached $11.5 million in September, up from $10.4 million in August, while Pyth Terminal had 129,265 monthly active users. The reserve accumulates PYTH and does not operate as a token-burning mechanism.
