> Hedera’s HBAR traded below short-term moving averages near $0.10 on Oct. 9, while futures open interest rose 4.02% as the token declined.

Hedera’s HBAR fell 3.17% over 24 hours to $0.09 as of 7:23 a.m. ET (11:23 UTC) on Oct. 9, with selling pressure keeping the token below near-term resistance around $0.10.

Binance spot turnover for the period was $23.48 million, and the 24-hour range was $0.09 to $0.10. During the one-hour window, taker buy volume totaled 6,502,246 against 7,405,035 in taker sell volume, producing a buy-to-sell ratio of 0.8781.

The seven-period and 20-period simple moving averages and the 12-period exponential moving average stood at $0.10. The 26-period exponential moving average and 50-period simple moving average were $0.09, while the 200-period simple moving average was $0.08.

Momentum indicators were mixed. The 14-period relative strength index was 48.43. The moving average convergence-divergence line and signal line were both 0.0032, leaving the histogram at 0.0000. Stochastic %K was 9.32, compared with 7.46 for %D.

The setup places immediate resistance near $0.10 and longer-term support near $0.08. A move above $0.10 would weaken the short-term bearish structure, while a decline toward $0.08 would bring the 200-period moving average and lower Bollinger Band into focus.

Hedera’s native token also had about 406.86 million contracts in Binance futures open interest, with a notional daily value of approximately $39.28 million. Open interest increased 4.02% over 24 hours.

Rising open interest alongside a falling price can reflect new short positions or hedging, but the figures do not establish trader intent.
