> The withdrawal was 2.1 standard deviations outside the 90-day average as Bitcoin traded near $83,000.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $487 million in net outflows Wednesday, marking their largest single-day withdrawal since June 25 as Bitcoin traded near $83,000.

The outflow stood 2.1 standard deviations outside the funds’ average daily flow over the past 90 days, placing it in an unusually large range. ETF flows had already become less consistent after September’s roughly $2.65 billion net inflow; October’s flows were negative by about $166 million at the time of the withdrawal.

Bitcoin’s price was near a level formed after its Sept. 21 advance stalled. Alex Kuptsikevich, chief market analyst at FxPro, identified $80,500 to $81,500 as a key zone spanning the previous month’s regional high and the 50-day moving average.

The market is now set to be watched through the next three trading sessions to determine whether the ETF outflow was isolated or part of a broader shift in fund flows. ETF products have recorded about $57.33 billion in cumulative net inflows since their January 2024 launch.
