> Hyundai Motor perpetual futures traded 0.77% above the Korea regular-session close, while Samsung Electronics was higher and SK Hynix lower. Overseas semiconductor-linked contracts were mixed.

Hyundai Motor traded 0.77% above its Korea regular-session close in a 24-hour on-chain market while local cash trading was shut.

As of 8:30 a.m. KST on Oct. 11, Hyundai Motor perpetual futures were quoted at 327,005 won. That was 2,505 won above the Korea regular-session close of 324,500 won. Among Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix and Hyundai Motor, direction was mixed. With Korean and U.S. equity markets closed over the weekend, the venue becomes one of the few price-formation channels.

Hyundai Motor: Korea close 324,500 won, on-chain 327,005 won, ▲ 0.77%

Samsung Electronics: Korea close 262,000 won, on-chain 263,552 won, ▲ 0.59%

SK Hynix: Korea close 1,681,000 won, on-chain 1,676,083 won, ▼ 0.29%

The split by stock suggests company-specific factors, rather than a broad market move, drove prices.

Hyundai Motor’s contract recorded about $30,000 in 24-hour volume and 5,178 contracts in open interest. The size is small relative to the regular cash market, leaving prices more vulnerable to limited order flow. The gap is better read as a signal of whether buyers or sellers were more active during the closure, rather than as a direct opening-price estimate.

The funding rate was equivalent to 5.48% annualized, with long positions paying shorts. The premium in the price and the funding skew point in the same direction, suggesting upside positioning was more crowded.

## Overseas semiconductors also leaned higher

In the same market, four of seven 24-hour overseas semiconductor-linked contracts rose. SanDisk moved the most at +0.99%. The overseas semiconductor group did not move uniformly, limiting the case for reading the Korean stock gaps as a sector-wide signal.

SanDisk: ▲ 0.99%

DRAM Index: ▲ 0.76%

Micron: ▲ 0.57%

Kioxia: ▲ 0.45%

H100 (NVIDIA GPU): ▲ 0.00%

TSMC: ▼ 0.02%

SoftBank: ▼ 0.04%

Editor’s note: Hyperliquid is a blockchain-based derivatives exchange. Stock perpetual futures listed there are 24-hour contracts that reference individual share prices without expiry. They do not represent ownership of the underlying shares and carry no dividends or voting rights. Long and short positions exchange funding payments, which helps keep prices aligned with the underlying asset. The premium or discount is calculated by converting the dollar-denominated contract price into won using the dollar-won exchange rate and comparing it with the Korea Exchange regular-session close. Because these prices form after the cash-market close, they can be used as a gauge of pre-open supply and demand.
