> ATOM was priced at $1.94 on Oct. 11, while Binance futures open interest climbed 16.63% to approximately $31.15 million.

Cosmos (ATOM) traded near $2 resistance on Oct. 11 as futures open interest rose 16.63% to approximately $31.15 million, signaling heavier derivatives positioning while market momentum remained mixed.

ATOM was priced at $1.94 on Binance, within a reported intraday range of $1.91 to $2.02. The $2.00 level aligned with the upper Bollinger Band and served as immediate resistance. Stronger resistance was identified at $2.06, while support levels stood at $1.90 and $1.85.

The increase in futures open interest brought the total to about 13.57 million contracts. Open interest measures outstanding derivatives contracts; an increase shows that positions were added but does not establish whether traders were mainly bullish or bearish.

Other derivatives indicators leaned toward active buying but did not confirm a breakout. The taker buy/sell ratio was 1.4525, based on buy volume of 369,678 and sell volume of 254,505 during the measured hour. The eight-hour funding rate was 0.0081%.

Account-position data showed global accounts at 61.2% long and 38.8% short at 3 a.m. ET (07:00 UTC) on Oct. 11. Top-trader accounts were 62.9% long and 37.1% short.

ATOM remained above its seven-day, 20-day, 50-day and 200-day simple moving averages in the market setup. The 14-period relative strength index was 59.72, while the MACD line and signal line were both 0.0650 and the MACD histogram was 0.0000. The stochastic oscillator showed %K at 69.60 and %D at 55.68, with average true range at $0.14.

A sustained move above $2.00 would put $2.06 in focus, while a rejection would leave the $1.96 pivot and $1.90 support as the next levels to watch. Neither scenario establishes a confirmed direction for ATOM.
