> Bitcoin traded at $83,827.56 early Oct. 12 as one outlook pointed to a short-term decline and another set higher October targets.

Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at $83,827.56 early Oct. 12 as market outlooks split between a possible correction toward $80,000 and an October move toward $92,000.

BTC was up 1.01% over 24 hours at 1:41 a.m. ET (5:41 a.m. UTC), with a 24-hour high of $84,179.91 and a low of $82,879. The competing views place the market between a short-term pullback and a higher monthly target.

One October outlook set a base-case target of $87,000 and a bullish target of $92,000, while identifying $83,503 as a key floor. That level represents the 20-day exponential moving average, and a monthly close below it would weaken the breakout setup.

Juan M. Villaverde expects Bitcoin to fall to about $80,000 within 10 to 20 days, with 15 days the most likely duration. He described the move as a “mini correction” and said his indicators pointed to a low in the second half of October.

“I expect Bitcoin to dip to about $80,000 within the next 10 to 20 days at most,” Villaverde wrote Oct. 9.

The forecasts use different time frames and methods. Villaverde’s view relies on macroeconomic, liquidity and on-chain indicators, while the higher targets depend on technical levels and moving averages.

The MACD is a momentum tool that measures the relationship between two moving averages. A zero histogram means the two lines have converged, but it does not by itself predict Bitcoin’s next direction.

Villaverde also expects a larger correction to run from a November/December top into at least January. The outlooks therefore describe separate scenarios rather than a single price path for Bitcoin.
