> A sustained move above $87,000 would put $94,000 in focus as markets await U.S. inflation data and a Friday speech at the IMF–World Bank meetings.

Bitcoin (BTC) remains range-bound near $80,000 after several failed attempts to break above $87,000, with a sustained move past that level likely to shift market attention toward $94,000.

The market has remained relatively steady despite concerns over large U.S. government Bitcoin transfers and weekend reports of an attack involving compromised Ledger hardware. Bitcoin's recent price action has not produced the broad, repeated selling that traders had feared.

Implied volatility remains elevated, but risk-reversal measures show that put options carry a smaller premium than usual over calls. The shift indicates that defensive positioning has eased, although options pricing continues to reflect the possibility of a move beyond the current range.

Several U.S. market catalysts are scheduled this week. The consumer price index is due Wednesday, followed by the producer price index Thursday. A speech Friday at the International Monetary Fund and World Bank annual meetings could also affect risk assets if it repeats hawkish signals previously expressed at Jackson Hole.

Markets currently assign about a 17% probability to a Federal Reserve rate increase in October, while holding rates steady remains the prevailing expectation. This week's inflation data could test that view.

Options positioning also points to concentrated interest in higher Bitcoin prices. Large Oct. 30 call butterfly spreads are centered on $90,000, $95,000 and $100,000 strikes, which represent the biggest concentrations of open interest among contracts expiring at the end of October.

Bitcoin recently moved above $80,000 and briefly reached $87,300, with institutional demand and spot exchange-traded fund inflows supporting the advance. [Earlier coverage](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/23416>) described the rally and identified the $87,000-to-$88,000 area as near-term resistance.

The next scheduled market tests are the consumer price index Wednesday, the producer price index Thursday and the IMF–World Bank meetings speech Friday.
