> Exchange reserves stayed low while apparent demand recovered from deeply negative levels, but the signals have not confirmed a durable reversal.

Bitcoin remained range-bound Oct. 12 as elevated U.S. Treasury yields, high oil prices and profit-taking weighed on risk assets while on-chain indicators showed early signs of stabilization.

Exchange reserves remained low despite a recent rebound. Apparent demand recovered sharply from deeply negative levels but stayed below zero, while whale holdings remained near 3 million BTC during the correction.

“These developments suggest conditions for a bottom are improving,” XWIN Japan said.

The signals do not confirm a durable reversal. Sustained spot Bitcoin ETF inflows, stronger U.S. spot-market buying and continued demand recovery are still needed to validate the improvement.

Brent crude had fallen from nearly $110 to about $103 in the Oct. 12 market analysis. Near-term support was identified around $80,000, with resistance near $87,000. A sustained move above resistance would put $94,000 in focus, although the level remains a market scenario rather than a forecast.

Options positioning was less defensive. A long Oct. 30 call butterfly at $90,000, $95,000 and $100,000 was among the largest end-of-October open-interest concentrations.

The latest reading follows [a recent recovery in Bitcoin demand](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/29027>), but the improvement remains incomplete. Exchange reserves, demand and whale holdings provide market indicators rather than proof that Bitcoin has formed a durable bottom.

U.S. economic data will provide the next scheduled test. The September Consumer Price Index is due at 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 p.m. UTC) Oct. 14, followed by the Producer Price Index at the same time Oct. 15.

The 2026 U.S. midterm elections are scheduled for Nov. 3 and may provide greater political clarity for investors.
