NEAR Protocol (NEAR) traded at $5.02 at 7:39 p.m. ET (23:39 UTC) on Oct. 12, falling 8.36% from $5.48 four hours earlier in a sharp move that extended its 24-hour decline to 14.80%.

Liquidations during the same hour totaled $240,000 in long positions and $10,000 in short positions across Binance, Bybit and OKX. Long liquidations occur when leveraged bets on higher prices are forcibly closed after the market falls.
