# Crypto Traders Face $98.28 Million in Liquidations in One Hour

Crypto positions worth $98.28 million were liquidated in the hour ending at 7:39 p.m. ET (23:39 UTC) on Oct. 12, with long liquidations accounting for nearly all of the total across three exchanges.

Long liquidations totaled $97.64 million, compared with $640,000 in short liquidations. The tally covered 9,636 liquidation events on Binance, Bybit and OKX and was compiled from their publicly available liquidation data.

Binance recorded $74.70 million in liquidations during the period. OKX followed with $12 million, while Bybit posted $11.58 million.

Bitcoin (BTC) accounted for $30.36 million of the liquidations, while Ether (ETH) represented $30.11 million. Solana (SOL) ranked third at $6.66 million.
