> The figure is more than nine times the $1.28 billion in open interest for contracts expiring Oct. 16, when puts outnumber calls.

Bitcoin (BTC) options expiring Oct. 30 have $11.7 billion in open interest, with calls outnumbering puts by more than 2-to-1.

The position is concentrated at strike prices of $90,000, $95,000 and $100,000.

The Oct. 30 contracts carry more than nine times the open interest of options expiring Oct. 16, which hold $1.28 billion. The earlier expiration has a put/call ratio of 1.44, meaning put contracts exceed call contracts in that group.

Put options for the Oct. 16 expiration are concentrated between $76,000 and $80,000 in strike prices.

The month-end contracts have a heavier concentration of calls, while the nearer expiration has greater put exposure.
