> At $1.37, XRP would need to rise about 265% to reach $5, valuing its circulating supply at roughly $315.5 billion.

XRP would need to gain about 265% from $1.37 to reach $5, a move that would value its circulating supply at roughly $315.5 billion and make the level a market scenario rather than an established 2027 target.

XRP traded at $1.37 at 3:15 a.m. ET (7:15 a.m. UTC) Oct. 13, 2026, with a market capitalization of $86.7 billion and 63.1 billion tokens in circulation. Applying a $5 price to the circulating supply would produce a market capitalization of about $315.5 billion.

Applying the same price to XRP’s maximum supply of 100 billion tokens would imply a fully diluted valuation of $500 billion. No confirmed forecast or specific catalyst establishes that XRP will reach $5 in 2027.

Several developments involve Ripple-related infrastructure and institutional digital-asset services, but their direct effect on XRP demand has not been established.

Standard Chartered has launched institutional custody support for Ripple USD (RLUSD), a dollar-pegged stablecoin, issued on the XRP Ledger through its Dubai International Financial Centre branch. LMAX Group, Ripple and Standard Chartered plan to make RLUSD eligible collateral for certain LMAX products. The parties must still complete testing and documentation and secure the necessary regulatory and internal clearances before launching the arrangement in eligible jurisdictions.

“RLUSD is an increasingly important component of institutional digital asset markets,” said Luke Dorney, Head of Custody, Digital Assets, LMAX Group.

Ripple received a Crypto-Asset Service Provider authorization from Luxembourg’s financial regulator under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation on July 6, 2026. The authorization covers crypto-asset services across the 30 countries of the European Economic Area.

Ripple Payments Europe S.A. is authorized for crypto-asset exchange and transfer services, but not custody and administration of crypto-assets, portfolio management, investment advice or order execution.

In Brazil, CSD BR and Ripple are tokenizing BTG Pactual investment-fund shares and mirroring them on the XRP Ledger. CSD BR will keep its own systems as the official record, while the blockchain will provide an additional record-auditing layer. The company has more than BRL 22 trillion in registered assets.

“We chose to start with record mirroring because it is the safest and most responsible way to introduce a new technology into critical market infrastructure,” said Daniel Polano Spreafico, Head of Products and Clients, CSD BR.

These projects add to institutional and infrastructure activity around the XRP ecosystem, but they do not demonstrate that the activity will create direct buying demand for XRP. The RLUSD initiative concerns a stablecoin rather than a new XRP custody product, and the planned collateral integration has not been completed.

A final judgment in Ripple’s case with the Securities and Exchange Commission remained in effect after the appeals were dismissed Aug. 7, 2025. The judgment included a $125,035,150 civil penalty and an injunction concerning securities-registration requirements.

The $5 scenario therefore depends on a substantial increase in XRP’s market value, broader and sustained demand, or both. An earlier [analysis of a $50 XRP scenario](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/28343>) examined a much higher hypothetical valuation, placing XRP’s market capitalization near $3 trillion using roughly 60 billion tokens in circulation.
