> PI traded in separate, unsynchronized market readings between $0.0791 and $0.0809 on Oct. 13 while remaining below key technical averages.

Pi Network’s Pi (PI) recovered modestly Tuesday after falling more than 4% the previous day, but the token remained below key technical averages as the network approached its planned Protocol 28 Mainnet upgrade.

Separate, unsynchronized market readings placed PI at about $0.0791, $0.0802 and $0.0809 on Oct. 13. One reading showed a daily gain of 0.73%, while another showed a 1.95% increase. The available figures do not provide a common timestamp, time zone or methodology, so they cannot be treated as one comparable market snapshot.

UTC daily closes showed PI at $0.078657 on Oct. 12, down from $0.082467 on Oct. 11.

Technical readings placed the token below its 50-day exponential moving average at about $0.0885 to $0.0886 and its 200-day EMA at $0.1236. The Relative Strength Index was 39, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence indicator remained negative and was declining.

A double-bottom setup remains unconfirmed. A sustained recovery would require PI to move above the $0.0866 to $0.0886 resistance area, while a decline below the prior-week low of $0.0774 could bring $0.0704 back into focus.

The Fibonacci retracement levels are based on a move from $0.1394 to $0.0704. The 23.6% level was identified at $0.0866, and the 50% level at $0.1049.

The rebound came as the Oct. 13 deadline for node operators to upgrade to Protocol 28 approached. Pi Network has scheduled the related Mainnet upgrade for Oct. 16.

Pi Network required node operators to complete the Protocol 28 upgrade by Oct. 13 ahead of the planned Mainnet change. The protocol update is intended to improve how the network handles delays in transaction data, let developers upgrade groups of smart contracts at the same time and support safer changes to stored application data.

The announcement sets the node deadline and upgrade schedule but does not establish a confirmed effect on PI’s price. The [planned Protocol 28 Mainnet upgrade](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/24856>) remains scheduled for Oct. 16.
