> LINK traded at $13.08 Tuesday as Binance futures open interest rose 5.91% to about $110.2 million, while positioning remained tilted long.

Chainlink (LINK) fell 3.05% to $13.08 at 4:29 a.m. ET (8:29 a.m. UTC) Tuesday as Binance futures open interest increased while the spot price declined, leaving the direction of new derivatives positioning unresolved.

Binance futures open interest rose 5.91% over 24 hours to about $110.2 million. The contrasting moves indicate increased derivatives positioning alongside a weaker spot price, but open interest alone does not show whether traders added long positions, short positions or hedges.

On Binance’s spot market, LINK traded between $12.26 and $13.50 during the same period. Binance spot volume totaled $32,898,095. The one-hour taker buy/sell ratio ending at 3 a.m. ET (7 a.m. UTC) was 1.1726, with 198,826 buy contracts and 169,553 sell contracts.

The eight-hour funding rate was -0.0041%. Binance account positioning was tilted long, with a 61.5% long and 38.5% short split globally. Among top traders, 66.6% of positions were long and 33.4% were short. The figures cover measured Binance accounts and contracts and do not identify the size or timing of individual positions.

LINK stood above its seven-day, 50-day and 200-day simple moving averages at $12.99, $12.59 and $9.75, respectively. It remained below the 20-day average of $13.75. The 12-day exponential moving average was $13.27, compared with $13.16 for the 26-day EMA.

Momentum readings were mixed. The 14-period relative strength index was 49.44, while the stochastic oscillator showed 36.17 for %K and 28.94 for %D. The moving average convergence-divergence indicator and its signal line were both 0.1113, producing a zero histogram reading.

Listed reference levels placed immediate support at $12.39 and immediate resistance at $13.63. Stronger support was marked at $11.70, with stronger resistance at $14.19.

The move follows earlier coverage of LINK’s rising Binance futures open interest during a daily decline. The latest open-interest total was below the approximately $121.26 million recorded in that earlier coverage, although the readings were taken on different dates.
