> Long positions made up $694 million of the total, while SanDisk perpetual futures saw slightly more liquidations than XRP.

About $803 million in leveraged positions were forcibly liquidated across 10 crypto exchanges over the 24 hours ending at 1:27 a.m. ET (05:27 UTC) Oct. 13, with long positions accounting for most of the losses.

Long liquidations totaled $694 million, or 86% of the overall figure, and affected 172,113 traders. Bitcoin (BTC) led asset-level liquidations at $181 million, followed by Ether (ETH) at $178 million and Solana (SOL) at $60 million.

Equity-linked contracts also took a significant hit. SanDisk perpetual futures recorded $19.09 million in liquidations, slightly above XRP’s $18.78 million and HYPE’s $19.04 million. SOXL, a triple-leveraged semiconductor exchange-traded fund, added $7.21 million.

The largest single liquidation was a $9.65 million Bitcoin long on Binance, closed near $81,773. About $595 million was liquidated during the latest 12-hour period as the KOSPI fell more than 6% and Bitcoin traded below $81,000.

Crypto exchanges offer perpetual futures tied to equities, allowing leveraged stock exposure alongside digital-asset contracts. In a later four-hour period, short liquidations reached $59 million of a $74 million total as Bitcoin recovered above $83,000.
