# Whales Add Estimated $292 Million in Long Positions on Hyperliquid

At least 73 large accounts increased long positions on Hyperliquid by more than $1 million each on Oct. 13, lifting estimated additional exposure to about $292 million.

Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) accounted for about 78.55% of the estimated increase. The positions also covered nine altcoin assets.

The figure represents estimated net nominal increases in long positions on Hyperliquid’s native contracts and measures derivatives exposure.

Long positions are contracts that gain value when an asset’s price rises. The reported increase shows where large accounts expanded their long exposure across digital assets on Oct. 13.
