In the Seoul foreign exchange market on October 13, the dollar-won rate stood at 1,345.1 won as of the 3:30 p.m. close, up 10.0 won from the prior session. The market opened at 1,334.0 won, 1.1 won below the previous close. The current rate is near this year's low within a range between 1,335.1 won and 1,555.8 won. Based on the full-year trading range, it is roughly 5% above the low. Compared with 1,478.4 won on July 20, the rate is lower by 133.3 won. The year-on-year comparison shows the won's appreciation. Converting 1 million won into dollars at the October 13, 2025 rate of 1,425.8 won would have produced about $701.36.
