> The comparison uses market-cap snapshots from different providers. A Brazilian project will mirror fund ownership records on the XRP Ledger while CSD BR keeps the official records.

XRP’s market capitalization was about $86.8 billion on Oct. 14, 2026, down from about $207 billion in a July 2025 snapshot, while a new Brazilian project will use the XRP Ledger to mirror fund ownership records. The comparison implies an approximate $120 billion decline, and the project’s use of the network does not establish increased demand for the token.

On July 17, 2025, XRP traded at about $3.50, with 59.2 billion tokens in circulation. The Oct. 14, 2026, snapshot showed roughly 63 billion XRP circulating. The snapshots come from different market-data providers, so the estimated decline is not a like-for-like measurement; the exact change depends on the dates and data used.

XRP represented roughly 3% of the total crypto market on Oct. 14, when the overall market was valued at about $2.87 trillion. An approximate July 2025 estimate put XRP’s share at about 5%. The percentages are approximate comparisons, not a consistent historical series.

Separately, Ripple announced the Brazilian project on Sept. 29. Financial-market operator CSD BR will use XRPL to mirror ownership records for BTG Pactual investment fund shares. CSD BR’s own systems will remain the official record for registration, custody and settlement, leaving the ledger as an additional way to query and audit the records.

Broader issuance and trading on XRPL are possible later phases, but the announcement does not establish that they will happen. CSD BR has more than BRL 22 trillion in registered assets; that total is not the value of assets being moved onto XRPL.

“We chose to start with record mirroring because it is the safest and most responsible way to introduce a new technology into critical market infrastructure,” said Daniel Polano Spreafico, CSD BR’s head of products and clients.

Network use and demand for XRP are separate measures. XRPL’s minimum fee for a standard transaction is 10 drops, or 0.00001 XRP, and fees can increase with network load. The project announcement does not establish that it has increased demand for the token.
