Clearway Energy, Edison International, Talen Energy and Vistra Corp. each received an A grade. The companies represented regulated utilities, renewable power providers and independent power producers.

The grades assess gross, operating and net profit margins, returns on equity and assets, and efficiency measures in comparison with industry peers.
