> VanEck’s $72 billion semiconductor ETF drew more than $430 million over three sessions as a six-session sector decline erased about $1 trillion in market value.

Investors directed about $3.8 billion into Direxion’s leveraged semiconductor ETF even as it sank nearly 21%, during a six-session sector slump that erased about $1 trillion in value.

The Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X ETF, a $19 billion fund, offers three-times daily exposure to the semiconductor sector. The inflow pace put it on track for its largest weekly total on record.

VanEck’s $72 billion semiconductor ETF attracted more than $430 million over its latest three trading sessions. That pace could make this its strongest week for inflows since early September.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell 12% across six sessions, with the downturn wiping roughly $1 trillion from the market value of chip stocks. Investor concerns about AI spending and intensifying global competition weighed on shares; valuation worries and higher interest rates also added volatility.

The inflows indicate that demand for leveraged exposure persisted as chip shares fell.
