> The move came as ETH remained down 0.63% over 24 hours. Short liquidations across three exchanges totaled $10.91 million during the hour.

Ether (ETH) rose 2.11% in the hour ending at 11:20 a.m. ET (15:20 UTC) on Oct. 15, reaching $2,426 on Binance’s ETH/USDT spot market, based on prices TokenPost collected directly from the exchange.

The pair traded at $2,376 one hour earlier, putting the hourly gain at $50. ETH was still down 0.63% across the 24 hours through the same observation time. The two figures cover different windows: the latest hour was positive, while the full-day comparison remained negative.

Liquidations across Binance, Bybit and OKX totaled $11.13 million during that hour: $10.91 million from short positions and $220,000 from long positions. The short liquidation tally was about 49.6 times the long total, a $10.69 million difference, and made up roughly 98% of the combined figure. The tally covers those three exchanges.

Ether ranked second by market capitalization at $291,139,870,000. The figures show a short-term price gain alongside a daily decline, with the liquidation total weighted heavily toward short positions.
