As of Oct. 16, WLD ranked first among 56 assets in the domestic interest index with 85.6 points. It represented 6.67% of domestic trading.

ONDO ranked second with 84.3 points, followed by XRP at 82.7 and NEAR at 82.0. Their domestic trading shares were 3.49%, 13.98% and 5.08%, respectively. Some assets were more active overseas. BNB represented 0.60% of global trading but only 0.04% domestically. USDC accounted for 12.76% globally and 1.82% domestically, XAUT for 0.15% and 0.03%, and USDT for 42.25% and 18.86%, respectively.

INJ recorded the strongest increase in trading activity at 11.65 times its usual level, while its price rose 30.8% over seven days. WLD and CC also showed increased activity at 1.58 times and 1.43 times, respectively. MNT, CRO and APT recorded the sharpest declines in activity.

PEPE had the highest kimchi premium at 0.57%, followed by SHIB at 0.36% and DOGE at 0.32%. STABLE traded at the largest discount to overseas prices at -0.76%, while PYTH and ICP recorded discounts of -0.51% and -0.43%, respectively.

[Editor’s note] Coin Korea tracks the domestic crypto market through an interest index covering assets traded in both domestic and overseas markets. The index combines domestic and global trading shares, the kimchi premium and recent changes in trading activity. It is based on actual turnover rather than page views. A wider gap between domestic and global shares indicates that an asset is traded more actively in Korea and may be more prone to diverging from overseas prices.
