> BlackRock’s IBIT and ETHA accounted for about 93% of Friday’s withdrawals. Bitcoin ETFs lost roughly $228.6 million for the week.

U.S. spot Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) ETFs posted a combined $152.07 million in net outflows on Oct. 16. Ether ETFs lost about $320 million across the Oct. 12-16 week, exceeding Bitcoin ETFs’ roughly $228.6 million loss.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) had $71.78 million in net outflows, while its iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) lost $69.68 million. Their combined $141.46 million accounted for about 93% of Friday’s total. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) recorded another $10.61 million in outflows.

Bitcoin ETF flows included inflows of $175.62 million on Tuesday and $5.06 million on Thursday, but withdrawals on Monday, Wednesday and Friday outweighed those gains. Ether ETFs took in $24.84 million on Tuesday, then posted outflows in each of the final three sessions.

Friday’s outflow was close to the $150.8 million recorded on Oct. 12, when BlackRock products also led withdrawals (earlier coverage).

ETF net flows track fund share creations and redemptions. The totals do not identify who initiated the activity or establish that a fund sponsor sold assets from its own holdings.
