> BTC fell 0.70% over the same hour; the tally covers three exchanges.

Bitcoin (BTC) recorded $10.91 million in liquidations during the hour ending at 5:35 p.m. ET (21:35 UTC) Oct. 17, while its price fell 0.70% over the same period.

The total combines publicly available liquidation readings across Binance, Bybit and OKX. It lists $10.44 million in long liquidations and $480,000 in short liquidations, alongside the $10.91 million combined figure. The readings cover the hour immediately before the cutoff.

The count covers those three exchanges only and is not a market-wide total. Both the liquidation amounts and the price comparison apply to the same one-hour window. Bitcoin moved from $81,658 at the start of the interval to $81,087 at its end.

Bitcoin is the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. The tally captures a short-period view of activity in the market’s top-ranked asset, rather than a broad snapshot across digital assets. The measurement ends at 5:35 p.m. ET on Oct. 17 and covers only the hour before that point.
