> Total liquidations reached $12.84 million across three exchanges as Bitcoin rose from $82,880 to $83,012.

Bitcoin (BTC) rose 0.16% as $12.82 million in short positions were liquidated in the hour through 3:38 a.m. ET (07:38 UTC) Oct. 19.

Short positions represented $12.82 million of the $12.84 million total. Long liquidations came to $20,000, making shorts almost all of the recorded activity during the interval.

The tally covers public liquidation data across Binance, Bybit and OKX. The total is limited to those three exchanges and is not a market-wide figure. The timestamp marks the end of the one-hour measurement window.

Bitcoin's price was $82,880 at the start of that hour and $83,012 at the end, a $132 increase. The 0.16% move and the liquidation totals refer to the same period. The figures describe positions liquidated through 3:38 a.m. ET on Oct. 19, rather than activity across a longer reporting window. The data represent only activity captured across those three exchanges during that hour.
