> Bitcoin and Ether fell 1.99% and 4.99%, respectively, over the same UTC-dated entries. The Oct. 19 XRP reading was taken before the daily close.

XRP’s market value fell $6.52 billion, or 7.33%, from Oct. 12 to Oct. 19, a steeper percentage decline than Bitcoin or Ether over the same UTC-dated entries.

The value dropped from $88.95 billion to $82.43 billion. The Oct. 19 figure was reviewed at about 2:10 p.m. ET (18:10 UTC), before a daily closing figure was available. The comparison therefore includes an Oct. 19 reading that could change before the day ends.

Bitcoin (BTC) lost 1.99% of its market value between the same dates, while Ether (ETH) lost 4.99%. All three assets declined on that measure, with XRP posting the largest percentage drop of the group.

Market value is a token’s price multiplied by its circulating supply. The $6.52 billion decrease measures a change in XRP’s valuation; it does not mean $6.52 billion in cash was withdrawn. Fund holdings and exchange deposits provide separate views of activity around the decline, but neither measures the cause of the full change in market value.

Tracked U.S. funds held a net 1,845,542 fewer XRP over the five trading days through Oct. 16. The holdings reduction was valued at about $2.4 million using XRP prices for the relevant days. The calculation includes the XRP holdings of a multiasset fund and excludes one XRP fund from its flow calculation because of a gap in that fund’s holdings record.

For the week ended Oct. 9, U.S.-listed XRP ETFs recorded [$11.31 million in inflows](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/29831>). That earlier figure covers a different period from the subsequent holdings reduction.

A separate measure of large-holder deposits to Binance reached 1.669 billion XRP over a trailing 30-day period around mid-October. Depositing tokens on an exchange can make them available for trading, but the measure does not show whether the holders sold them. “Rising inflows do not necessarily indicate imminent selling,” Arab Chain wrote.
