> DTCC listed Ripple Prime among its working group members on May 4. Canton Network and Hyperledger Besu are the service’s expected initial connections.

XRP traded at $1.30 early Tuesday as Ripple Prime’s place in a U.S. securities tokenization working group remained separate from the service’s announced networks and any stated use for the token.

The quote was recorded at 1:07 a.m. ET on Oct. 20 (05:07 UTC). XRP had traded near $1.49 earlier in October. That observed price is distinct from the $1.49 level cited as a trader’s chart resistance in [an earlier discussion of XRP resistance](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/29024>).

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) listed Ripple Prime among more than 50 firms in its industry working group on May 4. The group is helping shape a service that would tokenize selected securities held at DTCC’s Depository Trust Company (DTC) subsidiary.

Ripple Prime is Ripple’s prime brokerage business. It took that name when Ripple closed its acquisition of Hidden Road in October 2025. Its working group membership does not establish that XRP will be used in the tokenization service or that the project will create demand for the asset.

On July 15, DTCC processed production U.S. Treasury repo and equity trades involving tokenized securities held by DTC. The transactions used Canton Network and Hyperledger Besu. Those trades came ahead of the planned service launch, which is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Canton Network and Hyperledger Besu are also the expected initial connections for the service. Its planned scope includes selected Russell 1000 equities, exchange-traded funds tracking major indices and U.S. Treasury securities. The July transactions and the planned connections identify no role for the XRP Ledger as a network or XRP as an asset.

DTC held and serviced securities valued at $114 trillion in 2025. The figure measures the value of securities in its custody and servicing operations; it is not a target for tokenization. Ripple Prime’s working group seat provides no stated link between those holdings and demand for XRP.

The next stated step is to bring the selected-securities service into production in the fourth quarter of 2026.
