Pseudonymous analyst SuperBitcoinBro on Oct. 20 flagged 28 consecutive Bitcoin (BTC) daily closes inside the body of one candle, a pattern he views as a potential setup for a directional move.

SuperBitcoinBro put the pattern’s historical tally at five instances. He said moves in earlier cases continued in the direction of their initial breakout. His count does not establish how the current setup will resolve.

At the time of his post, the current pattern had no confirmed breakout. His bullish reading depended on buyers defending the lower end of the range. The pattern alone gave no direction for Bitcoin’s next move.

A candle’s body spans its opening and closing prices, while its wicks mark the session’s high and low. The 28-day streak concerns where Bitcoin finished each day; it does not mean every intraday trade stayed within the candle body.

Another close inside the same body would extend the streak. A daily close outside it would end the closing sequence and show which side of the range Bitcoin had exited.
