# Bitcoin Transfer to Coinbase Leads 11 Crypto Moves Worth $1.16 Billion

Eleven large cryptocurrency transfers worth a combined $1.16 billion were recorded in a three-hour period ending at 2:05 p.m. ET (18:05 UTC) Tuesday, Oct. 20, led by 2,111 Bitcoin (BTC) worth $175.3 million sent to Coinbase Institutional.

Four transfers from unknown wallets to Coinbase Institutional totaled $470.3 million. The largest arrived at 11:19 a.m. ET (15:19 UTC), followed one minute later by transfers of 1,632 BTC ($135.5 million) and 1,168 BTC ($97 million). A fourth transfer of 754 BTC ($62.5 million) arrived at 1:24 p.m. ET (17:24 UTC).

Three Bitcoin transfers between unknown wallets, with no named exchange destination, totaled $377.7 million. An unknown wallet sent 1,241 BTC ($102.7 million) to another unknown wallet at 1:09 p.m. ET (17:09 UTC). Two transfers to unknown new wallets followed: 1,993 BTC ($165 million) at 1:24 p.m. ET (17:24 UTC) and 1,329 BTC ($110 million) at 1:40 p.m. ET (17:40 UTC).

Three transfers from unknown wallets sent Ether (ETH) to Beacon Depositor. They included 24,960 ETH ($61.2 million) at 12:56 p.m. ET (16:56 UTC), 34,560 ETH ($84.7 million) at 1:10 p.m. ET (17:10 UTC) and 28,320 ETH ($69.5 million) at 1:25 p.m. ET (17:25 UTC), totaling $215.4 million.

Separately, 100,980,000 Tether (USDT), valued at $100.9 million, moved from Bitfinex to Tether Treasury at 12:36 p.m. ET (16:36 UTC). The transfers alone do not establish what the wallet owners intend to do.
