> The notes’ yield to maturity reached 15.97% on Oct. 20. CoreWeave had $4.413 billion in scheduled principal payments for the rest of 2026 and $6.184 billion for 2027.

Janus Henderson’s global head of multi-sector and corporate credit, John Lloyd, is standing by CoreWeave debt after a selloff pushed its 9.75% notes due in 2031 to a 15.97% yield on Oct. 20.

“It’s a little bit of overreacting,” Lloyd said. He expects demand for AI computing to remain strong and sees ways for CoreWeave to fund further data-center expansion. His financing examples include borrowing against graphics processing units (GPUs) or customer rental contracts, and seeking larger advance payments from customers. Lloyd described these as possible funding routes.

The Janus Henderson Multi-Sector Income Fund’s public holdings snapshot dated Aug. 31 listed the notes due Oct. 1, 2031, at 0.17% of its investments. Their 9.75% coupon is the stated interest rate, while yield to maturity also reflects the notes’ market price and other bond terms. The August holdings figure and the Oct. 20 yield observation refer to different dates.

As of June 30, CoreWeave had $35.551 billion in debt principal. It had $4.413 billion in scheduled principal payments for the rest of 2026 and $6.184 billion for 2027. Cash and cash equivalents totaled $5.524 billion, and total liquidity was $15.553 billion, including $10.014 billion available under existing facilities.

During the first six months of 2026, CoreWeave generated $3.663 billion in cash from operations and used $14.874 billion in investing activities. The company said its available liquidity could cover obligations due or expected within a year, while future investment may require additional debt or equity. It finances capital investment through a mix of debt and equity issuance, delayed-draw term loans, equipment financing and cash.

CoreWeave completed a $4.2 billion offering of convertible senior notes on Sept. 22. The notes carry a 2.875% coupon and mature April 1, 2033.
