> Bitcoin’s funding rate reached 0.0085% per eight hours, or 9.3% annualized. Funding was positive across all five markets.

Dogecoin (DOGE) posted the largest 24-hour open-interest increase among five major crypto assets Tuesday, while Bitcoin (BTC) led funding rates, reversing their ranking in an Oct. 18 snapshot.

At 7:05 p.m. ET (23:05 UTC) Oct. 20, DOGE open interest was up 6.89% to $226.9 million. Bitcoin’s funding rate stood at 0.0085% per eight hours, or 9.3% annualized, the highest of the five assets.

Funding was positive across the group. In perpetual futures, a positive rate means traders holding long positions pay traders holding short positions. Open interest is the value of outstanding contracts; its 24-hour change shows whether that total grew or shrank.

Bitcoin had the group’s largest open-interest total at $7.86 billion, up 0.94% over 24 hours. Its mark price was $82,999. Long accounts made up 60.5% of accounts, compared with 39.5% short.

In the [Oct. 18 five-asset snapshot](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/34511>), DOGE led funding at 0.0085% per eight hours, while Bitcoin stood at 0.0031%. The Oct. 20 readings placed Bitcoin first and DOGE at 0.0043% per eight hours, or 4.7% annualized.

DOGE’s mark price was $0.0820. Long accounts represented 72.5% of accounts in its market. Its open-interest gain was the largest percentage increase in the group, though its $226.9 million total was smaller than those of the other four assets.

Ether (ETH) had the highest share of long accounts at 73.3%, against 26.7% short. Its open interest rose 2.23% to $5.61 billion, and its mark price was $2,452. Funding stood at 0.0051% per eight hours, or 5.6% annualized.

Solana (SOL) was the only asset with a decline in open interest, down 0.09% to $924.3 million. Its mark price was $106.62, and funding was 0.0015% per eight hours, or 1.7% annualized. Long accounts made up 71.8% of accounts.

XRP open interest increased 0.73% to $415.2 million. Its mark price was $1.34, and its funding rate was 0.0052% per eight hours, or 5.7% annualized. Long accounts accounted for 71.8% of accounts.
