> Futures taker flow remained seller dominated. Ether was at $2,433 in the Oct. 21 observation, up 1.5% on the day.

The spot average order-size indicator for Ether (ETH) returned to its “Big Whale Orders” category near $2,400, while futures taker flow remained seller dominated, leaving the readings without a clear directional signal.

In the Oct. 21 observation, Ether stood at $2,433, up 1.5% on the day after briefly reaching $2,476.

The spot average order-size indicator reflects the size of trades in the spot market. The reading does not show whether the large trades were buys or sells.

The indicator also showed elevated readings during February and March and near a June low. Ether recovered after those earlier periods, but that history does not establish what the latest reading means for the asset’s price.

Futures taker cumulative volume delta (CVD) was seller dominated from earlier in October. Retail spot trading activity remained neutral, including during August’s rally.

Chaikin Money Flow (CMF), which reflects buying and selling pressure, stood at -0.07. That was higher than its -0.17 reading on Oct. 14, but the measure remained below zero. Taken together, the readings show larger average spot orders alongside seller-dominated futures taker flow and neutral retail activity; they do not establish a marketwide shift toward buying.
