> The target stood 123.2% above Micron’s Oct. 20 close. Cantor first set it at $2,000 on Oct. 1.

Cantor Fitzgerald analyst C.J. Muse reaffirmed a $2,000 12-month price target and an Overweight rating for Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) on Oct. 20, leaving the target far above the stock’s close.

Micron finished the session at $896.07 at 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC). The target was 123.2% above that closing price. The gap reflects the share price at the time of comparison, not an increase in Cantor’s target on Oct. 20.

Cantor raised its Micron target from $700 to $2,000 on Oct. 1, then kept the higher figure in place on Oct. 20. A separate [D.A. Micron’s fiscal fourth quarter ended Sept. 3 with revenue of $54.23 billion, compared with $11.32 billion in the year-earlier quarter. “Micron delivered record fiscal 2026 results, and we expect an even stronger fiscal 2027,” said Micron Chairman and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra.

By Sept. 30, Micron had signed 26 multiyear strategic agreements with customers. It estimates that the agreements will cover more than 35% of revenue through 2030. They commit customers to purchase volumes, and most set minimum and maximum price bands for the products covered.

Those commitments give Micron a clearer view of future sales, but they do not remove demand and pricing risks. A slowdown in demand or customers missing their commitments could add to excess memory supply and push prices lower. The agreements provide visibility into covered volumes, while market conditions will still affect the business.

Micron’s board also increased its total share-repurchase authorization to $35.16 billion on Oct. 8. That amount is the overall authorization, not an additional $35.16 billion in purchases. It sets a ceiling and does not require Micron to buy any shares.

Repurchases may begin Dec. 9, 2026, subject to conditions tied to Micron’s CHIPS Act funding agreements.
