> Filecoin (FIL) remained below its seven- and 10-day moving averages after rebounding from an Oct. 19 close of $1.019.

Filecoin (FIL) rose 2.05% to $1.07 on Oct. 21, but the gain left the token below two short-term price averages after a decline from its mid-October close.

The price was recorded at 1:20 p.m. ET (17:20 UTC). FIL’s seven-day simple moving average was about $1.08, while its 10-day average was about $1.10. Both figures use UTC daily closing prices through Oct. 20.

FIL closed at $1.16 on Oct. 15 before falling to $1.019 on Oct. 19. It rebounded to a $1.032 close on Oct. 20, then traded higher in the Oct. 21 snapshot. The latest price still stood below the Oct. 15 close.

A simple moving average combines closing prices over a set number of days. The seven- and 10-day readings show that FIL’s latest price had yet to recover to either recent average.

The trading followed the [completion of Filecoin’s Solstice network upgrade](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/technology/35505>) on Oct. 19. The upgrade changes how block rewards are allocated, directing a growing share toward services that attract paying customers.
