> The readings cover different rolling 24-hour periods. The later check showed $34.60 million in futures volume, more than four times the $7.74 million in spot volume.

Separate market readings showed Cash Cat (CASHCAT) up 11.06% and later down 9.56% over rolling 24-hour periods, while a later check showed $46.23 million in open interest and futures volume above spot.

An aggregated market snapshot showed CASHCAT at $0.1181, up 11.06% over 24 hours, at 9:47 a.m. ET (13:47 UTC) Oct. 21. A later market check, made at 12:39 a.m. ET (04:39 UTC) Oct. 22, showed $0.1079, down 9.56% over its own preceding 24 hours. The two percentage changes use separate rolling windows and do not directly measure the change from one quoted price to the other.

The later check showed $34.60 million in 24-hour futures volume, compared with $7.74 million in spot volume, and $46.23 million in open interest. Futures volume was about 4.5 times the spot total in that reading. Volume reflects trading during a period, while open interest measures contracts that remain active; the amounts capture different things. The open-interest figure does not show by itself whether traders were adding bullish positions or unwinding shorts. The figures show greater futures turnover than spot turnover, but do not establish the direction of outstanding positions. The volume comparison also does not mean the $46.23 million in open interest was traded during that same 24-hour window.

Bybit announced CASHCATUSDT perpetual trading on Aug. 5, with leverage up to 10x and funding settlements every four hours. Gate announced a CASHCAT USDT-margined perpetual contract on Aug. 25, with leverage from 1x to 20x. Gate’s maximum leverage was twice Bybit’s, while Bybit’s announcement also specified a four-hour settlement cycle. Both contract announcements came more than a month before the Oct. 21 market readings.

Cash Cat lists a total supply of 1 billion tokens and says it is not affiliated with Robinhood. The project describes CASHCAT as a meme coin with “no intrinsic value or expectation of financial return.”
