Dow Inc. shares closed lower Wednesday after six consecutive daily gains, ending the run one day before the materials science company’s scheduled third-quarter 2026 earnings event.

The shares fell 1.01% to $30.38 at the 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC) close on Oct. 21. Dow’s stock had advanced in each session from Oct. 13 through Oct. 20, rising from $28.51 to $30.69.

Wednesday’s close remained above the $29.93 finish on Oct. 16, the prior Friday, leaving the shares higher for the week through Wednesday. Dow’s earnings event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 22.
