# Coinbase Expects Nine-Hour Futures Trading Pause During Oct. 24 Maintenance

Coinbase Derivatives plans maintenance on Oct. 24 that is expected to pause futures and perpetual futures trading on Coinbase Financial Markets for nine hours, while users retain account access.

Work is scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. ET (10:00 UTC) Saturday, Oct. 24. Coinbase Derivatives expects the maintenance to end at 3 p.m. ET (19:00 UTC). Those times put the anticipated trading interruption at nine hours.

During the maintenance, futures and perpetual futures trading on Coinbase Financial Markets will be suspended. The pause applies to both product types on that platform. Users will still be able to access their accounts while trading is unavailable.

The work is scheduled as routine maintenance. The start time is planned, while the end time and nine-hour duration are expected.
