# Long Positions Make Up 97% of $51.59 Million in Crypto Liquidations

A one-hour crypto liquidation snapshot for Oct. 22 totaled $51.59 million, with long positions accounting for 96.8% of the liquidated dollar value and Bitcoin and Ether representing roughly three-quarters of the total.

Long-position liquidations reached $49.94 million. Short-position liquidations totaled $1.65 million.

Bitcoin (BTC) accounted for $28.05 million in liquidations, including $27.87 million in long positions and $175,800 in short positions. Ether (ETH) made up $10.65 million: $9.80 million in long liquidations and $852,300 in short liquidations.
