> HACK gained 3.2% and CIBR rose 2.7% Wednesday. Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike and Zscaler also posted gains.

Cybersecurity stocks climbed Wednesday as the National Security Agency (NSA) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) warned about PHP vulnerabilities, while investors viewed the sector as part of the AI trade.

The Amplify Cybersecurity ETF (HACK) gained 3.2%, and the First Trust NASDAQ Cybersecurity ETF (CIBR) rose 2.7%. Palo Alto Networks advanced 7%, CrowdStrike gained 5.2% and Zscaler climbed 7.8%.

PHP is a programming language used to build websites and online platforms. The agencies urged organizations to fix affected code promptly. The NSA recommended taking a system offline until it is fully mitigated if an immediate update is not feasible.

The market gains coincided with investor interest in cybersecurity firms as AI capabilities advance. The sector was viewed as part of the AI trade, with security expected to take on greater importance as the technology develops.
