Strategy’s Class A shares (NASDAQ: MSTR) fell 5% to $145.80 on Thursday, Oct. 22, down $7.68 from the previous session’s close of $153.48. The decline coincided with losses across major U.S. stock indexes, but those moves do not establish a specific trigger for the stock’s drop.

The Nasdaq Composite fell 2.6% to 26,008.86, while the S&P 500 dropped 1.2% to 7,663.43.

Strategy held 848,517 Bitcoin (BTC) as of Oct. 18. Its aggregate purchase price was $64.02 billion, with an average cost of $75,446 per coin. For the quarter ended Sept. 30, Strategy put its preliminary digital-asset gain at $20.91 billion and related deferred tax expense at $1.88 billion. Management prepared the estimates; KPMG had not audited or reviewed them.

Strategy’s third-quarter earnings call is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 29, at 5 p.m. ET.
