JB Mackenzie, Robinhood’s vice president and general manager for futures and prediction markets, said a Federal Reserve rate-decision contract topped the platform’s popularity ranking among individual event markets for September 2026.

At NEXTPredict in New York on Thursday, Oct. 22, Mackenzie also described price contracts tied to Bitcoin (BTC), gold and crude oil as among Robinhood’s fastest-growing products. He characterized prediction markets as shifting from elections to politics and sports, and now toward economic and financial questions. “When I started doing this two years ago, it was about elections. Then it transformed into politics and sports, and now it’s moving into economics and financials,” he said.

Robinhood recorded 13.6 billion event contracts traded in the second quarter of 2026, which ended June 30. That total was more than 10 times the year-earlier level. Event-contract revenue reached $156 million in the quarter, also more than 10 times its year-earlier level. The company’s [second-quarter event-contract results](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/38230>) show overall activity and revenue, but do not break trading out by category.

The contract total counts positions bought or sold through Robinhood’s Prediction Markets Hub. It does not show how much activity came from contracts tied to Bitcoin, gold, crude oil or other topics, or which products drove the year-over-year increase.

Robinhood event contracts let customers take Yes-or-No positions on defined outcomes. Standard contract prices range from $0.01 to $0.99 and reflect implied probability; a correct position pays $1 per contract.
