> The cohort held about 15.6 million BTC, while its 30-day average supply change stood at minus 195,000 BTC.

At 5:01 a.m. ET (09:01 UTC) Sunday, Oct. 25, Bitcoin (BTC) traded at $80,325 as long-term-holder supply stood 300,000 BTC below its August level, with four-hour momentum below neutral.

The cohort stood at about 15.6 million BTC, compared with roughly 14 million in December 2025. Long-term holders are defined as investors whose coins have been held for more than 155 days, so the figures show a longer-term increase alongside the decline since August.

The cohort’s 30-day average supply change was minus 195,000 BTC. That measure accounts for coins leaving the group and coins aging into it; a negative reading means more BTC left than entered during the period. Long-term holders generally sell less readily than short-term holders, and recent outflows suggest some have taken profits.

Bitcoin briefly dipped below $79,000 on Oct. 25 before a modest recovery. A rebound to about $84,000 from Oct. 19-21 had faded; earlier, selling around Oct. 6-9 pushed BTC toward $81,000. In late September, it traded between $83,000 and $86,000 and briefly approached $87,000.

An earlier [snapshot of exchange activity among coins held for at least six months during Bitcoin’s decline from $87,000](<https://www.tokenpost.com/news/investing/29092>) found that few of those coins moved to exchanges.

Four-hour technical readings showed a Relative Strength Index of 41.79, above its 40.21 moving average but below the neutral 50 level. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence line was minus 479.10, below its minus 420.24 signal line, with a minus 58.86 histogram. The chart identified support near $80,000 and $79,000, with $82,000 as a level to reclaim.
