> Long positions accounted for $14.73 million of EWZ’s liquidations as the contract rebounded 5.3% over five hours.

EWZ positions saw about $14.92 million in liquidations across the market over 24 hours, while Hyperliquid’s EWZ Brazil ETF contract fell 27.22% to $32.72 on Oct. 26. Longs accounted for nearly all the liquidated value.

Long positions generated $14.73 million in liquidations, against $189,200 in shorts. The contract recorded about $100 million in 24-hour trading volume, while open interest stood at $32 million.

The contract recovered 5.3% over the most recent five-hour period, while the long-short ratio stood at 4:1. Together, those moves suggested dip-buying interest after the plunge, although long positions made up most forced liquidations.

Brazil’s Superior Electoral Court confirmed Lula’s reelection Sunday, reversing a pre-election trade that favored Flavio Bolsonaro. By Friday, Brazilian stocks had risen nearly 7% from before the first round of voting, while the real had gained almost 5% against the dollar. That trade had priced in hopes of tighter fiscal policy, lower borrowing costs and a stronger real, leaving those assumptions under review.
