> The altcoin season index rose to 59 from 53 but remained below its weekly and monthly readings. Bitcoin dominance stood at 60.1%.

The altcoin season index rose to 59 from 53 a day earlier, remaining below the altcoin season threshold of 75 and its levels a week and a month ago. Bitcoin dominance stood at 60.1%, keeping its share of the market elevated.

The rebound pointed to an improvement in altcoins’ relative performance, although the index remained in neutral territory.

The CoinMarketCap altcoin season index stood at 59 as of October 27.

That was above the previous day’s 53 but below 60 a week earlier and 64 a month earlier. The reading remained between the Bitcoin season threshold of 25 or below and the altcoin season threshold of 75 or above, indicating mixed performance rather than broad altcoin leadership.

The index measures the proportion of the top 100 altcoins by market capitalization, excluding stablecoins, that outperformed Bitcoin over the past 90 days. Its annual high was 64 on September 27, 2026, and its annual low was 14 on December 19, 2025.
