Shares of Japanese storage maker Kioxia rose 16% on Wednesday, Oct. 28. It was the company’s largest one-session gain in nearly 12 weeks.

South Korean stocks also advanced. Samsung Electronics climbed 9.5%, SK Hynix rose 10% and the KOSPI gained 6.6%.
