Nine large accounts held about $29.3 million in HYPE long positions within roughly 30 minutes of news that Intercontinental Exchange plans a U.S. perpetual futures market based on Hyperliquid.

Intercontinental Exchange is the parent of the New York Stock Exchange. The 12 accounts each opened or rebuilt a position valued at $1 million or more. Nine were long, with about $29.32 million in positions; three were short, with about $8.04 million.

That left the group with about $21.27 million in net long exposure. Long positions were valued at 3.64 times the shorts, and long accounts outnumbered short accounts 3-to-1. The long positions had a weighted average entry price of $83.04, compared with $82.86 for the shorts.

An account beginning 0x9e2c held 150,000 HYPE at an average entry price of $82.47. The position was valued at about $12.75 million and showed an unrealized gain of about $383,500. It represented about 43.5% of the group’s long exposure.
