> The 30-day count reached $120.3 billion in face-value contracts, while traders paid $29 billion. A separate Q3 figure put Polymarket’s two venues at 27% of dollars paid.

Kalshi accounted for 75.7% of face-value contract volume across nine tracked prediction-market venues over the 30 UTC days from Sept. 29 through Oct. 28, giving it the largest share of the latest measured period. Polymarket US represented 11.6%, while Polymarket International accounted for 4.1%. Together, Polymarket’s venues made up 15.7% of tracked volume.

The venues recorded $120.3 billion in face-value contracts, while traders paid $29 billion. Kalshi logged $90.9 billion in volume and $20.6 billion paid. Polymarket US recorded $13.9 billion in volume and $3.3 billion paid; Polymarket International recorded $4.9 billion and $2.5 billion, respectively. The snapshot was recorded Oct. 29 at 12:30 p.m. ET (16:30 UTC).

The volume measure assigns each contract its full $1 payout, while dollars paid reflects the amount traders spent. The measures capture different sides of trading activity.

Polymarket US volume rose 66% from the previous 30-day period. Kalshi volume increased 53%, while Polymarket International volume grew 4%. These are changes in volume, not changes in market share.

A separate comparison covering July 1 through Sept. 30 put Kalshi at 71% of dollars paid across Kalshi, Polymarket’s two venues and Novig. Polymarket’s venues combined for 27%, and Novig accounted for 1%. That quarter recorded $179.6 billion in face-value contracts and $56.1 billion paid. The 27% Q3 figure cannot be compared directly with October’s 15.7%: the periods, venue groups and measures differ.

More than one-third of Q3 contracts were combinations or parlays. These contracts can cost a few cents but count at full face value in volume totals.

KalshiEX LLC became a designated contract market on Nov. 3, 2020. QCX LLC, which does business as Polymarket US, received the designation on July 9, 2025. Robinhood initially offered prediction-market contracts through KalshiEX, and Coinbase’s prediction markets are operated by Kalshi.
