As of 6:48 a.m. KST on Oct. 31 (9:48 p.m. UTC on Oct. 30), the top 100 traders by 24-hour performance on Hyperliquid, Lighter, dYdX and Pacifica combined hold about $337 million in long positions and $2.60 billion in short positions, a long share of about 11%. The figure sums each exchange's top 100 by 24-hour performance separately, by asset.

In yesterday evening's edition (aggregated at 3:28 p.m. KST on Oct. 30) the same group held about $616 million long and $2.37 billion short, a long share of 21%. In the roughly 15 hours since, long notional fell by $279 million and short notional rose by $230 million. On Hyperliquid prices, comparing 5:41 p.m. yesterday with 8:41 a.m. today, Bitcoin (BTC) slipped from $77,950 to $77,286, down 0.9%, and Ethereum (ETH) rose from $2,225 to $2,243, up 0.8%.

The top group by 7-day performance holds about $422 million long and $2.69 billion short, a long share of about 14%. Yesterday evening it was 15.9% ($492 million long, $2.60 billion short), so longs fell by $70 million and shorts rose by $89 million. Its unrealized gain went from about $99 million to about $101 million.

The 30-day group holds about $256 million long and $3.13 billion short, a long share of about 7.6%, down from 12.4% yesterday evening. Longs fell by $185 million while shorts stayed at about $3.13 billion. The long share is 11.5% in the 24-hour group, 13.6% in the 7-day group and 7.6% in the 30-day group, so all three hold more shorts than longs. Yesterday evening the 24-hour group's share was 4.7 points above the 7-day group's; now the 7-day group is 2.1 points higher.

BTC in the 24-hour group has 71 long and 178 short accounts, so by headcount the split tilted further toward shorts; yesterday evening it was 95 long and 119 short. By notional the group holds about $38 million long and $929 million short. In the 7-day group the 76 long and 162 short accounts hold about $907 million short, up from $869 million, and the 30-day group has 79 long and 162 short accounts with about $962 million short. BTC positions' unrealized gain grew from about $8.9 million to $17.0 million in the 24-hour group, and from about $8.8 million to $17.1 million in the 7-day group.

ETH in the 24-hour group has 63 long and 121 short accounts, about $89 million long and $566 million short, a long share of 13.6%. Yesterday evening it was 60 long and 105 short, a long share of 8.9%. ETH's unrealized gain in this group fell from about $31 million to $22 million, and in the 7-day group from about $31 million to $23 million.

By asset, the biggest move in the 24-hour group's long share by headcount among the top 20 by notional came in [Hyperliquid (HYPE)](<https://satoshinote.io/traders/coins/hype?window=day&utm_source=tokenpost_com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=coin_positions_daily_en_20261031_09>). HYPE went from 126 long and 61 short accounts (67%) yesterday evening to 42 long and 116 short (27%). By notional, long positions fell from about $234 million to $7.3 million and shorts rose from about $210 million to $358 million, so the long share went from 53% to 2.0%. It is at $89.93, down 0.1% over 24 hours.

In the 7-day group HYPE has 85 long and 83 short accounts and a long share of 37.9%, down from 46.6% yesterday evening, and in the 30-day group 44 long and 87 short accounts and a long share of 16.0%. HYPE carries the largest unrealized loss of any asset in all three groups, about $41 million in the 24-hour group and $59 million in the 30-day group. On the other side, [NEAR Protocol (NEAR)](<https://satoshinote.io/traders/coins/near?window=day&utm_source=tokenpost_com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=coin_positions_daily_en_20261031_09>) in the 24-hour group holds about $54 million long against $28 million short, a long share of 66% by notional.

A 24-hour group whose long share fell from 21% to 11% does not mean those accounts changed their positions. The groups are re-selected every hour on performance over each window, so when the accounts that make the ranking change, the direction split changes with them. Over 24 hours BTC is down 1.4%, ETH 0.7% and HYPE 0.1%, small moves, while NEAR is up 5.8% and Zcash (ZEC) 2.8%.

The figures also sum only the top-100 positions on four exchanges, so a few large positions can sway the notional split, and holdings on other exchanges or in spot are not counted, leaving any hedging unknown. In the 24-hour group the top-20 assets that lean long by notional are NEAR, XPL, ZRO, AAVE and BNB; none do in the 7-day and 30-day groups. Current positions describe the present, not where the market goes next.
