> Glaukos will move into the S&P MidCap 400, while McGrath RentCorp takes its SmallCap 600 place. Kenvue’s exit is tied to its pending acquisition by Kimberly-Clark.

S&P Dow Jones Indices will add Okta (OKTA) to the S&P 500 before trading opens Nov. 4, replacing Kenvue and shifting the company into a benchmark of large-cap U.S. stocks. The index provider announced the change Oct. 30.

Kenvue’s exit is tied to its pending acquisition by Kimberly-Clark, which remains subject to final closing conditions. Okta will move from the S&P MidCap 400. Glaukos will move from the S&P SmallCap 600 into the MidCap 400, and McGrath RentCorp will take Glaukos’ former SmallCap 600 spot. Separately, Loar Holdings will replace LiveRamp in the SmallCap 600.

Okta provides cloud-based identity and access management solutions. Its shares closed the regular session Friday, Oct. 30, at $208.24, down 6.14%, at 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC).

The S&P 500 tracks 500 large U.S. companies. As of Dec. 31, 2024, an estimated $12.999 trillion in assets were indexed to or passively managed against it. Estimated total assets indexed or benchmarked to the index were $20.161 trillion; that broader measure includes actively benchmarked assets and derivative notional. The index changes take effect before trading opens Nov. 4.
